2 1/4 Years Old

Dear Antonio,

You are 2 1/4 years old. Here are some things about you right now....

-You talk ALL the time. You know the name for almost everything and if you see something you don't know the name of you make sure to act.
-You can say the ABC's and only miss a few words.
-You sing Jesus Loves Me, Twinkle Little Star, and Rock a Bye Baby all the time.
-You call Jesus Loves Me, Jesus this I know.
-You love the animal song on the CD in the car. "Animal Fair" is the name, you call it the animal song.
-You wear size 2T clothes, but your pants are usually a little too big. Skinny little guy!
-You recently discovered jumping off the couch. I'm not a fan. You count, one, two, pree, por, six and then jump.
-You say, "Mommy, you play cars me?" We play with your car track and it's really fun.
-Everyday after school you and Grandma are playing outside. When I come out there, you say "Monsters!" Then we have to run, screaming to the playhouse. Then you sit on my lap and we peek out the windows at the monsters. After a little bit, we go out of the house and throw balls at the monsters. This seems to be your favorite game.
-Halloween just passed and you are obsessed with your candy. I'm already tired of you asking for it. You had dropped some in the car and now every time you get in, you search for a piece.
-You think you have to have a gumball every time you see a gumball machine. You won't be quiet about it until you have a quarter in your hand!
-You like to try to win toys at Wal-Mart in the claw machine.
-You were so crazy at Carlo O'Kelly's this week that I have banned you from restaurants for the rest of 2011.
-You like to feed Stogey a bone everyday as soon as I get home from school.
-You have started to sleep with a pillow. You also sleep with blankey, a big blanket, elephant, Baby Bear, No No Bear, all of your cruise babies, Pooh, and T-Rex.
-After I change your diaper, you have to sit up and see your powder. It's really funny.
-Your favorite candy is suckers.
-You like to eat icebreaker mints.
-You are getting really good and brushing your teeth.
-You love your doggy jammies. Every night you want to wear them.
-You love to help cook and insist that you help even if I'm just putting something in the microwave.
-You have recently gotten in to a terrible habit of hitting. I'm not sure how I'm going to break this habit, but it has to stop. You hit me in my face today and really hurt my eye.
-You like to have your hair done.
-You can't stand dirty hands. You got your hands sticky on Halloween and rode from the church to our house with your hands held out to the side waiting to be washed.
-You can drink out of a regular cup without a lid, but you usually use a sippy cup still.
-You go to Kid's Day Inn every Tuesday and you usually sit in timeout every week. Naughty!
-At bedtime, you turn on the Mickey light and the monkey light. Then we read two books. Then you turn off the Mickey light. While you turn off the light you say, "Pray for Papa he sick?" Then we say our prayers and you fold your little hands. We sing a couple songs next and you sing along with me. Then it's off to bed. But you try to avoid bed by asking for water. I give you a little sip then you flip to your belly and go to sleep.
-You have a new habit of dumping your snack all over the couch, floor, chair, etc. Our living room constantly has crumbs thanks to you! And Stogey is going to put on some pounds if you don't stop!
-You helped me clean the entire living room yesterday. You picked up the toys and brought them to me. You took stuff to your room, put things in the sink, and threw things in the trash. Such a helper!
-Grapes are still your favorite food. You really like goldfish too.
-You really liked Halloween and talking about ghosts and pumpkins.
-You have been saying Christmas tree a lot so I'm really excited to put ours up this year!

There is so much more that I could say, but I'm going to cut myself off here. I love you so much son! I wish you could just stay this age (minus the hitting and fits) forever! You are just cuter and cuter every day. I fall more in love with you every second!

Love,
Mama
