The past week...

We have had a lot of fun this past week!

Antonio got some awesome Superman pajamas!

When I saw them at Wal-Mart, I just had to buy them. My brother and I had the same pajamas when we were kids. I remember getting them from Christmas from our grandparents. I was sad that I didn't get the Superwoman ones and I remember my Grandma May saying that she was going to, but it had a skirt and she didn't want my legs to get cold. Good call Granny May!

Antonio's two best friends came over last week too! Jordyn and Ella came to our house to play, but then we decided to go to McDonalds instead.

The kids had a blast playing in the play place. Well, except Antonio. He got there and insisted he needed to get right in to a high chair. "I eat, I eat!" I told him it was only 10:45, but he didn't care. He wanted to eat right then! After he ate he did have fun climbing around for a little while. He sure loves Jordyn and Ella!

Yesterday, we went to the zoo. Antonio got to press a penny, feed the animals, get a special elephant sippy cup, and earn a dollar for being good at Carlos O'Kellys.

My little man!

After a nap we headed to Holly's for her birthday party. Antonio had so much fun playing with the kids. He even got to have a cupcake. All he did was eat all the icing and make a huge mess. I mistakenly let Antonio have a mint that night. Now Antonio thinks he needs an icebreaker mint every time he sees the case.

On the way home from the party we saw fireworks being shot over by our house so we pulled off the road and watched them. It was a fun night!

Janelle moved in with us last weekend and Antonio really likes having "Nell" and Stogey here. He always wants to feed Stogey a bone. Stogey has discovered that he can get a lot of extra snacks by following Antonio around. He drops food everywhere. Janelle isn't too happy about that! Tonight Janelle let Antonio help her make calazones for dinner. Antonio especially liked putting the "angila" on. Apparently angila is how he pronounces pepperoni!

After he finished his calazone, I let Antonio have a few skittles. He picked one up and said purple and he was right! I was so proud of him! He usually says every color is "gween."

Grandma and Grandpa called and asked us to go for a bike ride after dinner. We rode clear over to the new neighborhood and checked it out. Antonio is getting in a really bad habit of pushing me off the seat. He thinks he is really funny, but Mama doesn't think it's too funny at all.

When we got home from the bike ride Antonio's neighbor friends were outside. He said, "I go play with fwends!" I let him get his trike out and ride with them a little bit. This was a bad decision because he threw the fit to top all fits when it was time to go inside. That's what I get for letting him stay up past his bedtime for two nights in a row!

2 Years Old

Photobucket

Dear Antonio,

You are two years old! Where has time gone???? I can't believe I quit updating your blog for 6 months! I'm so sorry! Here are a few things about you now...

-Your vocabulary is huge! You amaze me all the times with the words you know. I told you tonight that we are going to the zoo tomorrow. When I was changing your diaper later you pointed out the elephant on it then said elephant has trunk. How do you know that?!?!
-Recently you started saying "deeeeelicious" when you like what you are eating.
-I moved you out of your chair in the corner to the table in your booster seat. You missed your tray though, so I had to give it back. At least you sit at the table now though!
-Last week you started eating salad with Dorothy Lynch dressing. Yummy!
-You love croutons, goldfish, hot dogs, milk, raisins, and grapes.
-The way you say "I don't like it" about your food is too cute for me to get mad at. Even when it's something you love and you are just saying it so you can get down and play.
-You LOVE Dino Dan. You always say, "I watch teebee." I ask what you want to watch and you always yell, "Dino Dan!" I'm sad that you like it more than Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!
-When you come home from Daddy's you call me Daddy. Then DaddyMama. Then finally Mama. It's funny!
-Today you responded perfectly when I told you I love you. You said, "I love you Mama" and gave me a hug. It melted my heart!
-You remember everything people say. The other night in the bathtub I said you were all done and you started singing the cleanup song I hadn't sung in a while and picking up your toys. You have such a good memory!
-You still love books. In particular you like counting and ABC books because there are a lot of things to see in the book. You like to point at each picture on the page and say, "wat dat?"
-I can't keep you from jumping on the couch and you are starting to get timeouts because of it. :(
-Ella is your best friend and you ask about her if you hear me talking to Sky. "I see Ella?"
-You love to run everywhere you go. You also like to jump. I love when you say, "I go run" and "I jump."
-I bought you a pool for the backyard and you like to play in it and slide down the slide. You like me to get in with you and take turns on the slide.
-Grandma and Grandpa bought you a swingset for your birthday and you love to swing on it. When you are swinging, Grandma says, "touch the sky!" You reach high and yell, "Touch it!"
-You like to help me cook dinner. We bring over one of the dining room chairs and put it backwards for you to lean on and you help pour things in and stir. You also take things to the trash for me while I cook.
-You had a bad bout of diaper rash and had to wear medicine. Now everytime I change your diaper you say, "No medicine." Because I don't put medicine on everytime. But you do always say, "I need powder." If I don't powder you make me take your diaper off and put some on.
-At bedtime you are currently sleeping with NoNo Bear, Baby Bear, Pluto, Pooh Bear, blanket, and big blanket. For awhile I wasn't letting you sleep with big blanket and you would ask for it every night.
-You like to ball your little blanket up under your head like a pillow.
-I think you sleep on your tummy like Mama. When you first lay down, you always flip to your tummy.
-Cutting your fingernails is like going to war. You hate it. I can usually convince you to do it if I let you have a snack.
-Speaking of snacks, you think you always need a snack. "I nack, I nack." It's such a bad habit! You think if you are watching TV you need a bowl of cheerios or goldfish.
-You love to buckle things. You won't let me go without buckling your booster or the shopping cart. You get really mad if I buckle your carseat for you.
-At Disney World for your 2nd birthday you asked me if there was an owl outside our room. I said there was no owl. Everytime we would go by our room, you'd look at me all serious and say, "No owl?" It was adorable!
-People think you are so cute. You get compliments everywhere you go!
-You call me Mama, Grandma is Bama, Grandpa is Papa, Halie is Hay, Stogey is Dogey, Janelle is Nell.
-Today you had your first playtime with neighborhood kids. They came over and played with your water table. Then they swam in your pool with you and played in your playhouse and on the swingset.
-Daddy has been giving you juice and chocolate milk, now you ask for them all the time. Bad Daddy.
-You chug water all day long. But now you like to have ice with it. "I ice, I ice Mama!" When I get the ice, you want a piece to carry around and suck on.
-You go to timeout for two minutes now. You usually jump in your crib at the beginning, then lay down and fake cry till I come in. When I get you, I make you say sorry Mama. The way you say it so adorable. I love it.
-You've learned how to make the cutest pouty lip. When you want something you stick your lip out and fake cry. Such a manipulator!
-When you want me to hold you, you say, "Mommy hold you."
-When I get you up in the morning you ask, "Where Bama go?" Grandma has been here most weekdays this summer and Mommy sleeps in while she gets you up.
-We went to the YMCA waterpark several times this summer. You liked playing with the kids. You liked the baby crocodile slide, but you prefer the big kid slide. You are a daredevil!
-You still love balls, but you aren't quite as obsessed as you used to be.
-In the bath you lay down and "swim" so I can clean your back. Today you also laid on your back and put your hair in the water. You said, "I lay down."
-When I tell you we are going to Grandma and Papa's to swim, you run to your room and get a swim diaper and come out saying "Swim diaper, I go swim."
-You swim like a little fish! I got you some arm floaties (actually I got them when I was still pregnant with you! They were Mickey and I knew you would need them!) and you swim all over Papa's pool. You even like to jump off the side.
-If you get hurt you always say, "Okay" to let me know you are alright.
-If I sneeze, cough, or get hurt you say, "Okay Mama?" and get really concerned. I have a hurt toe right now and if you accidentally step on it, you lean down to kiss it. It's funny how you kiss owies though. You get close and make a kissing noise but don't really kiss it.
-If you hurt anything, you want Mommy to kiss it. Even your butt!
-You love to poke at my belly button, but I hate it!
-You can name all the characters from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!
-You get your own sippy cup and lid out of your own little cabinet.
-You love chips and salsa from Carlos O'Kellys. You are just like Mama!
-This summer you stayed with Daddy from Wednesday at noon through Friday at four. Daddy took you to the zoo a lot and also let you swim in a pool at his house. Mommy gave you a slide to take over there and Daddy put it in your pool. You also have a train set at Daddy's that you love.
-We have been riding bikes a lot and you really like it. You prefer to ride down the busy streets because there is more to see than in our neighborhood.
-You love to listen to music in the car. You have a couple CDs. Your favorites are, If you're happy and you know it, Old MacDonald, The wheels on the bus, and Smelly feet.
-You like to put makeup on while I'm putting mine on. Don't tell Daddy!
-You like to help me water the flowers with your watering can.
-If I ask you to do something, you say "Otay."
-You have started balling up your fists and flexing your muscles till you shake to make people laugh. It's really funny.
-Daddy says you have pottied in your potty chair at his house a few times, but you won't do anything for me.
-You love to play games on my ipod and phone. "I play game?" You like Angry Birds and all of your toddler games I've bought you.
-You jump on to the floor on your knees and butt and I don't know how it doesn't hurt. You are so crazy!
-You make me snacks in your kitchen. Usually you make me a hotdog.
-You like to say you want a "hamburger and fries" but you really want chicken nuggets if we go to McDonalds.
-You still like to get in your baby toys if they are out, like your walker and your vibrating chair.

You are the most handsome, precious, adorable little boy in the world! I'm so glad that you are mine! You make my life better and I'm so happy that I have you! I love you more than anything.

Love,
Mommy
