Kansas State Fair

Back in September we went to the State Fair with my friend Cassie and her kids, Presley and Laeten. Cassie's parents live in Hutch so we drove down the night before and stayed with them. I was excited to "rope drop" the fair! We didn't end up actually rope dropping though. We went to Carriage Crossing for breakfast and it was soooo good!

After breakfast we headed to the fair. First we looked at some animals. And then some more animals. Then a few more animals.

We started to watch a sheep being sheared but it was so awful we had to leave!

We went to the exotic petting zoo and the kids really liked it.

Laeten fed this scary emu!

Laeten wanted some chocolate milk.

After this, my camera died. I know we ate some yummy food and saw lots of animals. I got Antonio's yearly caricature drawn and it was adorable. Even though it was terribly stressful because he did not want to sit still for it. I'm hoping next year it will get easier.

By the end of the day we were all so worn out. I don't know if I'll be able to talk Cassie in to going again next year, but I hope so! It was a blast!
